It was certainly not the final result, namely the KO at Wembley against England, that worried Albania, nor the score (a modest and, indeed, English 2-0) but how it came about, namely in a match with 0 shots on target in which Sylvinho's team never managed to worry the goalkeeper Pickford. However, if, most likely, even with a better performance, the outcome of the match would not have changed, given the English supremacy, Albania's next match against Andorra already becomes fundamental in the result also because the tricolor national team, despite being defeated against Latvia, still played a match in which they tried and which demonstrated an important will and approach that, in view of an opponent like Albania, will at least have to be confirmed. Andorra had already left good traces in the last match of 2024 and a draw away to Malta. However, in order for joy or at least the hope for some improvement to arrive, a point would be needed in this match on Monday night which, certainly, sees the burden of victory and therefore the odds all on the Albanian side but on which, at least an initial thought, the Andorran national team will try to do so.
With the expected defeat against England, Albania has now lost 4 in the last 6 matches.
At home, Sylvinho's national team has collected only 1 point in the last 3 matches against 3 not impossible opponents such as Ukraine, Czech Republic and Georgia.
There is therefore a need to find new life, the premises of which were not seen in the performance at Wembley, where the shots on target fired towards the English goal were 0.
Only 1 victory in the last 24 matches is the crude balance of the Andorra national team in recent times, which, however, has conceded only 2 goals in the last 4 matches played.
There is, however, the problem of goals scored or chances created: in the last 10 matches, Andorra has scored in only 1 of them, the one won 2-0 against San Marino.
There were some signs of a possible awakening, however, in the match against Latvia: 7 shots, 2 of which on target.
Going from playing against England at Wembley to challenging Andorra at home is certainly a significant leap but, in any case, the last matches of 2024 and this one before 2025 have told us of an Albania that is struggling to create and score and we must stick to this. Against, in Tirana, comes Andorra, also in serious difficulty in terms of goals scored while, instead, there are possible positive signs of defensive strength on the national team of the Principality. In any case, the hypothesis that seems more easily viable and that has a better odds than that of Albania's success, is that both teams will not score and, the prediction of the BetMines Algorithm, supports this hypothesis with a fair probability.
