Arsenal and Tottenham are definitely not in their best moment but just putting their names together to compose those of the North London Derby and be sure that, Wednesday night at the Emirates, will be an unmissable match for Premier League fans. Looking only at the positions in the standings, which certainly have their primary importance, one might think that the discontent lies only in the home of Tottenham, twelfth, however, the second place of the Gunners does not say that Arsenal in a few days, has just been eliminated from the FA CUP and is almost out of the Carabao Cup and therefore, has seen its season take a dangerous and sudden turn for the worse. Only and only a victory could bring back serenity in the surroundings of Islington because it would restore hope in the meantime in the always difficult race for the title and then it would underline a second place that remains a noble position in a very difficult championship like the Premier League. For Tottenham, on the other hand, who have been without a derby win for a few games and, specifically, at the Emirates in the Premier League for 15 years, it is first and foremost a match that is worth making history but which, if won, could also be the spark to raise their rankings in a championship that has been truly disappointing so far.
Until recently, the Emirates was a stronghold for Arsenal, however, the defeat in the Carabao Cup against Newcastle and the draw that then turned into a KO on penalties against Manchester United in the FA CUP have significantly worsened the relationship between the Gunners and their stadium.
However, the unbeaten home run in the Premier League that also involves last season remains, which has lasted 12 games and is embellished with the best home defense in the championship (only 6 goals conceded) as well as it must be noted that, despite the difficulties, Arsenal in the championship is on a positive streak that has lasted 10 games.
Tottenham's twelfth place in the Premier League is quite telling, as is, in fact, the 0-0 in regulation time that Spurs produced in the FA CUP against Tamworth (a team from the fifth division, National League) before winning in extra time.
In the last 5 matches, Tottenham have won only once, with 2 draws and 2 defeats. On the other hand, the statistic that sees Tottenham eleventh in the Premier League for points earned away from home (and so far nothing surprising) is incredible, but with the least beaten external defense in the entire Premier League!
It is true that Spurs have played one or two less away games than other competitors, but it is a fact that away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium they have conceded very few goals so far.
In the meantime, there will be many absences on both sides, so the two elevens that Arteta and Postecoglou will send onto the pitch will certainly not be the best possible. It is difficult to establish how much of an advantage Arsenal has over Tottenham, who, however, are 16 points below in the standings. Despite recent difficulties, the Gunners still seem to be, between the two, the more well-oiled and more confident team, and the Emirates factor in the league and in the derbies of recent years has always been important, therefore, the BetMines prediction rewards the Gunners and their victory.
