In a game that was easy on paper, after having won two in a row, Bologna fell where it was least expected: at home against Verona while Roma, the next opponent of the rossoblù on Sunday at the Dall'Ara, rose again in the watershed match par excellence, the derby of the Capital. It so happens that the red and blues and the yellow and reds, previously on two different "planets", find themselves closer with Roma who, in the event of a victory, would be just two points behind their opponents who, however, Verona aside, have always been reliable at home and will be able to count on their best eleven (excluding long-standing absences) and on the latest home precedents against Roma at home, which have not seen them concede a single goal. Roma, however, is clearly on the rise, after having hit rock bottom with the 2-0 defeat by Como and above all in confidence, thanks to the magical command of Claudio Ranieri. For his boys' recovery, doing well and not losing at the home of a Bologna team that, however, even with Vincenzo Italiano on the bench is reaffirming its value, would be decisive, just as the 2-3 in the first leg with which Bologna violated the Olimpico was decisive, negatively for Roma: that match in fact coincided with Juric's last on the bench, before, in fact, the arrival of Ranieri.
The defeat, certainly unexpected against Verona by 2-3 does not change the opinion, so far positive on Bologna's championship: 7 wins, 7 draws and 3 defeats make a good seventh place that is certainly in line with the expectations of the beginning of the season that, compared to the last one, sees so far only 3 points less.
The KO of the last round, interrupted a series of 11 games without defeats at the Dall'Ara and, despite those 3 goals conceded, the Bologna defense, at home, remains among the best in the Serie: 6 goals conceded in the 8 games played.
Roma is recovering: the clear victory of the derby concluded a small cycle of 3 wins and 1 draw in 4 games that leaves behind one of the lowest points: the painful 2-0 suffered by Como.
With the latest successes in the championship, Roma also manages to return to positive in the balance between goals scored and goals conceded which now says +2 (26 scored, 24 conceded).
A statistic that instead awaits a significant improvement that must arrive to give continuity to the team is that of the away performance: away from the Olimpico, Roma has never won! 5 draws and 4 defeats in 9 games is a truly negative statistic.
Roma seems to have started its recovery path that, undoubtedly, will experience a challenging obstacle at the Dall'Ara because Bologna, defeat against Verona aside, especially at home makes itself felt. The more than good trio of Parma, Milan, Lazio, to which we can add the success of the Italian Cup against Samp, however, makes BetMines' prediction slightly lean towards the Giallorossi not losing, in a match that, however, presents itself at the starting lineup as very balanced.
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Holm, Beukema, Lucumi, Miranda; Freuler, Ferguson; Ndoye, Odgaard, Orsolini; Castro. Coach: Italiano.
Roma (3-5-2): Svilar; Mancini, Hummels, Ndicka; Saelemaekers, Koné, Paredes, Pellegrini, Angelino; Dybala, Dovbyk. Coach: Ranieri.
