After the recent Arab interlude at the beginning of January, Juventus and Milan are back to face each other at the Allianz Stadium in a match that can be read as a clear and unequivocal direct clash for a Champions League spot next season. Both teams, in fact, are out of the running for the Scudetto and, presumably, will have to fight for fourth place, which could also be the last one valid for the top continental cup, in which, however, both Juventus and Milan are competing more than well so far this year. It is difficult to say who will arrive better at Saturday's big match: Sergio Conceiçao's Milan is fresh from the triumph in the Super Cup and the latest success against Como but has never convinced (derby with Inter aside) in terms of play yet, while Juventus, who's not yet won in 2025 and who lost to Milan in the semi-final, have played two good games in the last two against Atalanta and Torino. One thing is certain, however, and that is that whoever loses will suffer a significant blow both in the standings and in their self-esteem, a blow that is perhaps decisive for the pursuit of Europe which, in mid-January, for Juventus or Milan would certainly be a disappointment that could leave serious consequences for the course of the championship.
Driven by the transfer market moves of Kolo Muani and Costa and, on the pitch, by a draw that for once should not be dismissed negatively, given the good performance against a strong opponent like Atalanta, Juventus approaches the super challenge with a score of 7 wins, 13 draws and 0 defeats in the league.
The Bianconeri are fifth in the standings and, like Inter, have the second best defense in the league while the attack is struggling a bit more and has in Dusan Vlahovic (whose presence is in doubt) the best scorer with 7 goals.
Overall, Juventus have not lost in Serie A for 28 games.
Sergio Conceiçao's Milan have started off decidedly well: 3 wins and 1 draw in 4 games and, in the 3 wins there is also the victory of the Super Cup achieved with the successes against Juventus and Inter.
It is also true that, in these 4 games, Milan has always conceded at least 1 goal. Considering also a part of Fonseca's work, the Rossoneri in the last 10 league games have still lost only 1 time, against Atalanta which is also the only defeat of Milan since November onwards.
Despite this, Milan is seventh in the standings and, compared to the same point last season in the league, has 11 points less.
Juventus, in what can still be legitimately called a crisis, seems to have a few more certainties than Milan, especially after seeing the progress, in terms of play, that the team showed in the derby and against Atalanta. Milan certainly has the boost linked to the change of coach but in view of Turin it has a few more problems with the formation and, despite the success, in Como, it was not convincing therefore against an undefeated Juve and for a still playable quota, the BetMines prediction goes on the double chance home, 1X evaluated with double the probability compared to the victory of Milan.
Juventus (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio, Savona, Gatti, Kalulu, Cambiaso; Thuram, Locatelli; Yildiz, Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzales; Vlahovic. Coach: Motta.
