Sevilla and Roma are set to battle in the Europa League final on Wednesday, May 31st, at Budapest's Puskas Arena. Sevilla will be in pursuit of their seventh victory in the competition, following previous triumphs in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2020. On the other hand, Roma has never won the Europa League. Their best performance was reaching the final in 1991, then known as the UEFA Cup, which they subsequently lost to Inter. Hence, under the leadership of Mourinho, they will be aiming to achieve their first success in this competition.

Sevilla entered this Europa League following their "relegation" from the Champions League, and have reached the final after defeating Juventus 2-1 in extra time at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

In the eight matches they have played in this Europa League season, Sevilla has averaged 1.5 goals per game and conceded an average of 0.88 goals.

Roma, who also participated in the group stage of the competition, have played 14 matches, scoring an average of 1.29 goals per game while conceding an average of 0.71. They reached the final after defeating Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-final, winning the home leg 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and drawing the return leg 0-0 on German soil.

Both teams lost their last league match, with Sevilla losing 2-1 at home to Real Madrid and Roma losing 2-1 away to Fiorentina. This testifies that both teams' focus is exclusively on this final.

Sevilla, except for the disqualified Acuna who will be replaced by Alex Telles, should have all their players available.

Roma, on the other hand, are facing a few more issues, as they attempt to recover Dybala. The feeling is that the Argentinean may ultimately make the cut, although he is expected to start from the bench. In addition to Dybala, Spinazzola is also not at his best, while  Karsdorp and Kumbulla will certainly be unavailable.

In terms of the game's progression, we expect Sevilla to dominate possession, while Roma is likely to defend with balance and organization, looking to exploit counter-attacking opportunities and free kicks.
