Prediction published on Feb 26, 2025 5:48 PM by Dario in Germany - Bundesliga | Modified on Feb 26, 2025 6:25 PM
It was quite predictable to see, compared to last season, Stuttgart going a little slower and Bayern Munich a little stronger: the second place obtained a few months ago by Hoeness' team, remains in fact an almost masterpiece just as, Bayern Munich's third place, although not a failure, for the history of the club, is always a place that can be improved and, so it is happening. Bayern Munich is returning to dominate the championship, first at +8 on Leverkusen and at +22 on Stuttgart, currently seventh. The gap in the standings, however, does not extinguish the expectation and interest in this advance of the Bundesliga which is worth a lot for both teams. Stuttgart, in fact, sees the positions that precede it at a reduced distance with a fourth place that is only three points away just as Bayern Munich would really need to impose itself in a difficult away match to virtually close the games. Both teams will have some unavailability but will be able to count on their best offensive arsenal which, in the first leg, only saw that of Bayern Munich work, who dominated with a 4-0 without appeal, but Stuttgart also has one last sweet memory: that of the match played in May 2024 at the MHPArena and won 3-1 by Die Roeten who sublimated an excellent Bundesliga.
The 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim in the last round of the championship confirmed the team's inconsistency, which alternates excellent results with rather disappointing ones. In the last 5, Stuttgart has won 2 times, drawn 1 time and lost on 2 occasions, scoring and conceding the same number of goals: 6.
The same alternation and unpredictability, Hoeness's team has it at home where, among all competitions, in the last 13, they have totaled 6 wins, 6 defeats and 1 draw.
Stuttgart, however, scores very frequently and certainly does not have the problem of scoring. Hoeness's team has scored in 11 of the last 12 games, totaling 19 goals.
The complications of the Champions League round against Celtic, more difficult than expected, have already been forgotten by the prodigious 4-0 with which Kompany's team crushed Frankfurt: 4 goals for 4 different scorers among which, for once, Harry Kane was not included, who came off the bench and has so far scored 29 goals this season.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern is first with an excellent record that says 18 wins, 4 draws and 1 defeat, enriched by an incredible goal average of 3 goals per game.
In the championship, Bayern Munich is traveling at a truly rapid pace: 8 wins in the last 9 with the only non-victory being the draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen.
Stuttgart is certainly inconsistent in results but it is consistent, as has been seen, at least in scoring goals, even against big teams such as Dortmund, PSG, Leipzig. Bayern certainly has no offensive problems, indeed, therefore even assuming a certain charge from the home team in being able to give a boost to their season against the top of the class, without settling and risking something, leads the BetMines algorithm prediction to imagine a match where both teams will score.
Stuttgart (4-4-2): Nubel; Stergiou, Jeltsch, Chabot, Mittelstadt; Leweling, Millot, Stiller, Fuhrich; Undav, Woltemade. All: Hoeness.
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Laimer, Dier, Kim, Davies; Goretzka, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Sané; Kane. All: Kompany.
