Spain vs Netherlands Prediction: Match Preview and Analysis - Nations League
It started with the premise of being the most explosive and spectacular of the four Nations League Quarter Finals, entertaining and technical: Holland - Spain in the first act on Thursday night, respected all of this and, in the second that will be played at the Mestalla in Valencia, will have the chance to confirm it. The first round ended in a draw, 2-2, and it was a draw that certainly smiled more on Spain, both because, between the two, it was the national team that avoided defeat in the final (Merino's goal in the 93rd minute) and because it was the one playing away: the Red Furies, now, will have the home advantage on their side (decisive in recent months for De la Fuente's team). Holland, certainly, performed very well, they were able to react to the initial disadvantage by playing a first half that was really high level, closing ahead thanks to goals by Gakpo and Rejinders but then, in the second half, they understandably suffered the Spanish comeback, demonstrating, after all, that they give their best when they have to propose. For Spain, it is probably the same: extraordinary in the attack phase, decidedly more fragile in defense. If the score on Sunday night is similar to that of De Kuip, then, the show will be guaranteed.
